We decided to fish the midlake and found the fish on a point in the main lake. Only got 3 dozen baits figuring we could easily get bait by 9:30. We were out of bait by 10 and could only get one or two herring per throw. Continued to catch bait and fish till 3AM. Ended up with about 30 shorts and 6 keepers. Two biggest were 26" and 29"

25-40 feet. Most of the ones I caught were one or two cranks off the bottom.
