The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. I luvs our gubmint. Afterall, we have 530plus of the finest, most unselfish, brighter soles making the laws. All orchestrated by a reefer-smoking, White man's candy snorting, undocumented academic, miserably failed "community organizer", leading us down the path to European dystopia.
I'm "gay-for-pay", as the defender of the court, master of the greens, and skirt-chasing member of the View announced last week.
Although, there is nothing wrong with skirt-chasing with the right skirts. |

For those who were otherwise occupied this am. Bambi appeared on the The View. When asked whether he thought the upcoming election would be "tight", he responded, "When your name is Barack Obama, it's always tight." Joy Behar (not a skirt I would chase) reminded him, "Barack Hussein Obama."
I've heard that "tight" means "cool". Does adding Hussein make it cooler?

Don't forget the universitys across our great land. Lot's of money went into funding college professors during the Cold War. Remember the old Russian statement, "If we can't beat them (U.S.) from the outside, we'll take them from the inside." Seems most of those grads are running congress now. The forth side of the fence is closing.

| It's the old 80/20 rule. 80% of the people will never see the light and keep voting for the candidate that promises them free stuff. Only 20% of people really understand what is going on (or care). That's why all governments slowly trend towards socialism. I don't think it's really an "American" issue, but we just have higher expectations of our citizens since our country was founded on the principles of individual liberty. |

We've, so-far, resisted the trend that befell most great empires. Our voter base has been sliding down a crap hole for a while now, with the libs now fighting for the illegals to have a say. It's only a matter of time before the USA falls in place with the rest of history....but I'm not going down without a fight

What makes you think this? We are one of the youngest nations out there and socialism is already knocking at our doorsteps. Things happen a lot faster in the digital world. I don't think we are resisting at all. |

I forgot where I read it? But I remember the passage saying that most great civilizations only last 200 years on average, before breaking down.

I remember hearing that, but most references came from the Roman Empire. There was also one floating around that any nation that had slaves only made it 200 years. But that's not true in most cases either.

There were some quietly removed professors in the late 60's early 70's but what do you feel was done in the 20's? Just curious.
I think most on this forum would agree that of all courses taught history is slanted to whom ever the teacher of it is.
