Plan to go crabbing with my daddy in the morning.0400..even if it rains...So I go out to the garage to load my truck for trip to village in the morning.......what's that smell??...did I leave some bait out?? Then I see it...line of water near the freezer.....and then I knew....didn't even have to open the door...but did....dealing with it now...can't cry over ruined meat...and seafood..and veggies......will do what I have to do...and go spend a day with my daddy tommorow...and all will be better again.

Guess it was time to clean the freezer anyway.

Penny, check with your insurance company. Your home owners may cover the contents but not the freezer?

Sadly, the insurance company would likely terminate your policy for any sort of claim allbeit food, not sure if i'd upset the applecart for that.

Why would they cancel the policy? They paid me for stuff I lost in the freezer because loss of power during a Hurricane.

Do you think they would do that, when it doesn't involve a storm of any kind and no mass claims?

We had several power surges and lights went out the other night when that storm rolled through.....but we are not going to try to file a claim on it .
