Caught me a few really nice bluegill this afternoon at my neighborhood pond here in Cola. They were attacking whole nightcrawlers. Largest one is over a pound and 12".

I live with fear everday, and sometimes she lets me go fishing

Nice!

My buddy calls those Titty Brim - because you have to hold them up against your titty to take the hook out.

Thanks, I have caught many 8" and even a few 10" Gills, but this is the first one I have seen at 12" and break a pound. I know big bluegill are kind of hard to find in these parts, so I was pretty happy. I think my local pond gets fished to hard for bass, and people really haven't targeted big bream. I always see them using crickets and bettle spins catching small 4-5" fish. I decided to use whole or half nightcrawlers to get bigger fish. Even using wigglers or earthworms only catch little fish. The big ones want a big bait. Wish I had some Catalpa worms, I bet I could tear up the bream and catfish in there.
