VERY Nice Video. Which go pro camera is that. I know they have a few to choose from! Are they all waterproof and can you add music to all of them! Tight Lines.

I would say spend the extra money and get the GoPro Hero 2. It can shoot in true 1080p HiDef. Yes, all the cases are waterproof. They come with an extra backing for the case that has holes in it if you are not going to get it wet so that more sound can get in. Check out their website. You can see everything they have to offer.

Actually, the original HD Hero also shoots in 1080p. If budget is a consideration, I would suggest most people (especially PC users) to buy an original HD Hero or 960 camera and spend the $$'s saved on a Mako flat lens for underwater+spare housing and some decent editing software + extra SD cards. The Hero2 does have a bit nicer sensor and a few other features for experienced camera people, but IMHO the average user won't notice. Notice how the dolphin are out of focus underwater on the original poster's video? That's where a flat lens makes a difference.

I have been shooting video with a 960 for a year and a half now, and honestly, I think it is more about "getting the shot" and knowing how to use editing software moreso than how many pixels your camera captures. Seeing as how any video you capture will mostly be watched on youtube vs. a HDTV, 720p seems fine for 99% of what people here use it for. In addition, 720p @ 30fps wont eat memory as fast as 1080p @ 30fps.

PQ- Can you give any input on editing software? I'm looking to purchase something that will give me more than Windows 7 Movie Maker.

Microsoft really dropped the ball on WMM7.

I use Avid Studio. I like it. There are alot of great tutorials for Avid Studio (and other editors) on youtube. Whatever you get, make sure your unit has enough horsepower to run it. AS can do some pretty amazing stuff. AS comes with some really nice Red Giant plugins for free. I have used the Red Giant filters alot in my last few vids. They really make things "pop".
