I am wanting to buy a used jonboat from a friend and he wants 300$ for it ... is there any where i can get one cheaper?

If it's 16' and you don't want it I'll take it. The price jumps quite a bit when you go from 14' to 16'. If it's in decent shape that's a deal.

I'd rather fish than eat.

it don't have a trailer and its pretty heavily used .... idk about rust i am going to look at it today.

if its welded (not riveted) and there are no substantial leaks, I would say it would be hard to go wrong at that price.

If its riveted i would look more closely and see what kind of shape the rivets are in. Even if it leaks, you could still jerry rig them with 5200.

If you need a boat and it floats, i would say its hard to go wrong at $300.

If no trailer I wouldn't get it. Your mom has no way to take you anywhere and does it have a motor and what hp? Does it crank easily? Tiller drive? Crank or electric start or push button? 2 or 4 stroke? What year makes a difference when you look for parts.

i got it down to 250$ but i still havent looked at it ..... and it will fit in the back of a pick up because he said it was ten ft not 16 ..

10 foot is dangerous.14 ok 16 is much safer.I had a 14 alumacraft with a 25 and it was pretty good.
