Renting a house at Keowee in a week. Anybody have any experience fishing up there? Thinking about taking the Jon boat to play around.

We live near Keowee and I've fished it quite a bit in the past. You can expect lots of largemouth, crappie and bream but no record breakers. What part of the lake will you be on?

I'd rather fish than eat.

Try Crappie minnows on a down line, or vertical jigging for Spotted Bass. Once you find them the action is hard to beat.
Oh, and mostly half-back Yankees from Florida in my experience!!
