Took the maiden voyage out of the folly boat launch on 6/7. Hit a couple of spots I read about without any luck. Finally ended up at one spot that looked fishy. Between the wife and myself ended up with 5 trout, 4 flounder, a croaker and one really nasty looking eel. Hit a couple of docks on the way back to the landing ended up hooking one more before the line rubbed on a piling and broke off. We eventually saw the cork come up a little bit later and snagged it with a crankbait, still had a 15" trout on it.

Went back 6/8 with high hopes, they were quickly diminished. One 8" bluefish is the only thing that prevented a skunk. Everything was caught with mud minnows or live shrimp under corks.

Yet again eluded by the ever evasive Charleston Redfish. Since moving here 7 months ago the only redfish I have seen are on the back windows of pickup trucks...Maybe next week

ha, those window Redfish ...

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish,
goes home through the alley.

Keep at it. Fish the docks. They are there, it just takes time. Folly River produces some great fish. And welcome to the area and the site.

the difference a day makes!

i'd say if you're just a red shy of a slam, you're not doing anything wrong... and you're not doing too badly!
