What is the best rod and reel suggestions for redfish, trout, flounder, and sheeps head. Preferably under $100 but no more than $170 and I will spool it with braid. I would also like to use it in the surf so ft is a good length. Heavy enough to throw 1 oz. of weight but light enough to throw small soft plastic's. I also like the look and feel of the cork grips over foam. I know this is a lot to ask but I hop you guy's can help me out. Thank's in advance!

Check out SHIMANO, I went with a Convergence Inshore Rod along with Solstace FI 4000 reel. This should meet all you needs.

Penn battle or fierce 4000 on 7' ugly stik, or ugly stik intercoastal.
I'm about to buy myself a bit cheaper Shimano sienna 4000 paired with ugly stik intercoastal for multi purpose setup( redfish trout flounder sheepshead)
then I have a sienna 2500 on cabelas Im6 light spinning rod on 10# braid (trout ans ladyfish and throwin plastics). Then an Okuma avenger 30b on either Okuma aquios rod or sea striker contour inshore series (flounder). Then I'm getting 2 fierce 7000 for shark and tarpon setups on Penn mariner rods.

I'm a high class redneck.

Fishing is a delusion entirely surrounded by liars in pfgs and buffs.

When I was in Haddrells this weekend they had a nice Shimano combo on sale in the front wood rack. It had a Terramar rod, and I can't remember which Shimano spinner. But it was a nice setup for $170. Might be worth checking out.

I've got a Terramar paired with a Sahara spinning reel and i love it. This combo on sale would be in your price range and is probably what Geronimo saw featured @ haddrell's.

anything over a 3000 series reel and medium action rod is overkill...

I caught a crappie in my pants when I was young...could have landed it with a minnow net...or a tld50.
