Anyone going kayak fishing this weekend? I am new to the area and was wondering if I could tag along with someone.

Thinking about Remley's Point this Saturday morning to fish around the area. You are more than welcome to join us. If the weather falls apart we might go elsewhere - but I'm planning on fishing somewhere!

That would be great!

I was going to try there if no one replied to this, launch from the Remeley boat landing right?

What day/time were you thinking?

"Thinking about Remley's Point this Saturday morning"...

Dude... be seriously careful. We are past Memorial Day and that means all the jacktards who own a boat and have no clue how or where to drive it are out. Remley's is a BAD place for kayakers.. I launched there twice, the second time, and my last, I was almost run over by 3 boats and this was a THURSDAY.... Keep your eyes out because they are not looking for you. I highly suggest a more out of the popular place spot to launch.

Thanks for the heads-up nikonjedi...trying to find a shorter route to where I want to go, and Remleys is the closest launch to that place.

How's the water looking has the rain messed it up at all?
I've been thinking about it also.

There are WAY better places to fish and safer too... If you go to the floating dock at Daniel Island the beach on either side of it is hard sand and an easy launch....

If you want to fish on Sunday I will be launching from Paradise landing on the upper Wando. Or if anybody wants to meet there I Will lunch around 8 am just before high tide.

I might try to flats-fish late this afternoon if I can get behind some trees. It's not a huge tide, so the window of oportunity will be small.

I ended up going to the Mt. Pleasant pier. Got there around 0700, caught 5 trout. 3 were too small, the other two were both 17 inches. Left at about noon, would have stayed longer but I ran outa bait, the darn blowfish kept steeling it.
