As I was coming down the Don Holt Bridge just before the North Rhett exit while pulling my boat to Chris V's place, I had a massive blow out

I got safely stopped in the wide space just past the exit ramp, got some needed help from the North Charleston Community Service (neeed their tools to remove my spare off the trailer.)

Anyway, my fender and support steps / fender mount brackets were torn all to heck. I've got a new fender from Northern Tool....any idea where I can get replacement support steps / fender mount brackets? I found some on-line, but shipping doubled the price, so I'd rather buy local.

Thanks.

Oh...and a "the more you know" - it's a good idea to have a wrench in the boat or truck that can remove the nuts off your spare tire bracket. It might save you an hour or two waiting on help and getting back on the road.

Probably not local for you, but I recommend Wesco trailers in West Columbia.

It may come to that. I'm hoping not.

Seel's outboard in west ashley or henry's in mt pleasant can probably get you what you need. They sell lots of trailer parts. There's also a trailer repair shop on 17 S in red top just past the Hollywood turn off before you get to tractor supply.

Northern Tools on Rivers ave has a huge selection of trailer parts. I stumbled upon that one day looking for a nice floor jack. Oh yeh, one thing you need as a trailer boat owner is a nice floor jack. Trailer breakdowns are just part of the game. Having spare parts and a nice jack make it slightly less painful. Good luck to yah!!!

Do you have an Agri-Supply in Charleston? If you can't find it locally, I have had good dealings with Champion Trailer online.

Fields Ornamental.
If they don't have them they can fabricate a set that will be better than what you can buy.
