Weather permitting.......
couple of us are going to head to 3 mile and do some grilling and shark fishing for the fireworks on the 4th.

Never really went on a planned shark hunt.... I am assuming you chum the waters and jig up some bait to throw out.
best bait pin fish? Pogies? Or just big chunks of cut bait?
On balloons? On the bottom? Or free swimming?

Thanks for the help! Any of you wanna join us out there send me a Pm, we should have a couple boats again this year, and plenty of food.

Live bluefish, the bigger the better and trim the tail.

I'd rather fish than eat.

Chris, you should get an HMS permit if you plan on keeping sharks, too. https://hmspermits.noaa.gov/default.asp

Ken, thanks for the reminder! I have a permit, but for some reason I think it has My other boat info on it. Do you know if the permit is good for the boat, or for the person?

I don't have it with me, but I think it is the federal species permit.

Most permits are for the Boat with your name attached..they want you to spend the money for each boat you fish....makes no sense but go figgure..

I'm tired of being told that I have to "spread the wealth" to people who don't have my work ethic. I'm tired of being told the government will take the money I earned, by force if necessary, and give it to people too lazy to earn it. I think I'm going fishing...!!

Well.... just spent another $20, even though we dont plan on keeping any, but you never know. Would like to keep a big Black Tip, but i got a hard time telling the difference in a couple of the sharks. I think Black Tip and Spinners give me issues.... minus the spinning part.
