Maybe this is old news, but I was leaving Orvis today and picked up a free catalog walking out the door. Flipping through I saw the Diablo Chupacabra. That thing is bad a$$. Paddle board/kayak looks stable, short enough to get anywhere but stable enoughto stand and paddle all day. Just curious if anyone has seen one in person or actually tried one out?

I paddled one at the ECCKF in April. Super stable, maneuvers well, not very fast, Larry chair was awesome. I wouldn't want to paddle one up the Wando against a falling tide.

my 2 cents only

Cant be worse than my future beach 144. First kayak craigslist buy. Like paddling a barge, super stable and easy to stand up on, but those long paddles are hellish......ESPECIALLY against the tide. GOT to get a better yak in the future, so if this ones not a good distance paddler I am out haha.

you need to test paddle a Ride 135. stable enough to stand and fish, not a beast to paddle.

Good Lord... for that kinda money you can get a Hobie Pro Angler... I have pix of Lost@Sea and another buddy BOTH on the same PA.. Lost@Sea throwing a 10ft cast net off the bow and the other guy poling the yak around like a flats skiff... I am hoping to test drive a PA tomorrow

Looking at new kayaks my advice is to paddle as many fishing kayaks as possible

All have different charestics and features

WE are a Malibu Dealer and encourage on the water demos

We always have a 14ft Malibu stealth ready to go

Hey I love mine too, it gets me on the water so I cant complain. I was just saying sometimes after that 6 hour fishing trip the paddle home makes me wish for somethign a little easier on the long paddle. Love the stability though.
