What is he getting for a set now? Can you buy them individually or only as a set? I have been using homemade poles and am considering buying "real" poles this year.

I think you can buy how ever many you want. I bought a set of ten for me and two for someone else.

doug; don't tell me that you are going to spend some of that hi-dollar money and buy some real poles. ha ha. believe me ; you will love the fiberglas poles. mine are over 10 years old and still going strong except for one that the prop whipped up on.

pluffdaddy; let me suggest that you go with the 14' poles. you will find out why when you are out there and the tide comes in. sometimes it can cover your poles. the longer the better. trust me on this after about 20 years experience.

Steverson does make great poles. I have had a set going on 10 years now and love them. I am now getting my boys into the shrimping game and need some help though. My oldest has no problem throwing a 4ft but my 4 year old needs a little smaller net. Can't find one any smaller with 1/2 inch mesh. Any ideas on where I could find one.

i've contacted BG graphics and have ordered a set. 16ft for 160.00. I'm supposed to get with him around mid august to set up a time to go and get the poles. I hear he makes the best poles around. will be willing to pick up poles for others...just help out with gas. and please arrange payments with him. I live in MT Pleasant, so I can meet somewhere here to deliver. if anyone is interested, shoot me a message!

I have a set of 14" fiberglass poles that I have used 2 seasons. They are like new. They were bought from the guy that makes them in Newberry. I sold my boat and don't plan on using them again. I'll take $140.00 for the set of 10. 3 yellow and 3 orange ones. You can contact me at mrhicks1958@yahoo.com
