This is a great website!! I lived in Mt. Pleasant in the 80's and caught lots of fish on both sides of Sullivan's Island around Ft. Moultrie. I'm finally coming back for a one week visit on August 15th. Can't wait!! Usually I just used mud minnows or caught mullett in the surf with a castnet, and fished them on the outgoing tide. Can anyone tell me if this technique might still yield any results in mid-August??? Or will it be too hot and the fish have gone deeper??

Still works from what I hear....also fish being caught from mt pleasant pier..one on Shem creek as well as the old burnt out bridge. Whiting are biting and of course the shark are everywhere. Lots of bait around.. Good luck to you..hope the weather and the bite is good to you while you are here.
