We have been unable to get reports from the tournament.

Unfortunately, at least for this year, we rely on the tournament directors to provide the release information during the fish days.

Needless to say, it has not gone well at Edisto. We have made a few suggestions that will hopefully be implemented for today's fishing.

Next year will will furnish a sat phone to the committee boats so they will be able to communicate with our office directly at scheduled intervals.

We are providing this service free of charge to the tournaments and to the many local anglers who want to stay informed about the action offshore.

Our apologies for the lack of reports yesterday, but as previously mentioned, we can only provide information forwarded to us by the tournament directors.

I believe Sportin Life is leading with 7 sails, but plenty of boats fishing today. Sailfish bite has been pretty good.

Bite was slow yesterday, but there were some blues caught and a fair number of sails. Late hookups brought it down to the wire for the tournament and series. One thing to keep in mind is that committee boats are not only volunteers, but participants as well. The time that is spent tracking hookups, releases, and lost fish is distracting them from their own fishing efforts.
Congrats to the Laff-A-Lot crew on their win.

They volunteer to be committee boats... And calling in hook ups is completely pointless, should do away with that nonsense and only report releases. Some people just enjoy talking

While some boats may volunteer in many instances they are appointed because not enough people volunteer because it does require extra work.
