There not a huge brand but they look really, really cool! Heres a link to there home page http://barrettrods.com/index.html . I'm thinking about getting one for my Shimano Baitrunner 8000D. It seem's they'll make any type of rod, any color. Has anybody purchased them with success?

Light travel's faster than sound. This is why some people appear smart until you hear them speak.

There are a good many custom rod builders in Charleston. They do look like they do nice work, bu tyou might be able to save on shipping if you get a local builder to do it, plus you could see the progress of it being put together.

Personally, I'd go with a Shimano Trevala. They're some awesome production rods with great warranties, unlike most custom builders. I've abused all of my Trevalas and they're still rock solid rods.
