Wife used to catch fish in Coberg Creek as a tiny kid with snails on bent "straight pins" and sewing thread. She's as Charleston as they come.

Cooper River catfish on Canadian Bacon. Caught about 50 pounds of fish in 30 minutes on the Navy base in 1981.

| In highschool, there were some creeks in Walterboro that were loaded with freshwater pike. We would take cane poles and jig a white grub until we caught a few of them. But, once you caught one pike, you invert his stomach out of the mouth, rip it out and use his stomach as your new grub. Then, it's on!!! |

| Was actually fishing on moultrie last weekend off of thornley, and while idling out to the lake hit a 50lb. Grass carp with the prop. I have a guy at work that eats them and took it to him, no sense in letting a fish go to waste. Kept it on ice and he cleaned it first thing Monday morning. Better him than me. |

Now that's not strange!! That was always the way to do it! Grandma used a piece of white tee shirt and snagged them with out a hook. Haven't caught a red fin pike in 15 years. Used to be at every bridge you crossed that had water under it. Urban development, dry weather? You just don't find them like you used to.
Hot Dog in Canada, 22lb Muskie and several nice northern pike.
bream on french fries
bass on a piece of an ice bag
Cobia on a chicken wing.... several males after a female we had tied off the back of the boat. won a bottle crown over that one.

Naked hook in a western N.C. stocked trout pond on my 13th birthday. 15 fish in about 15 minutes. One of the best days of my young life.

A Coleman lantern and a white bed sheet will load the boat with mullet. Be careful with that!
Small strips of cellophane from a cigarette pack on a small hook will almost always catch spade fish.

there is one on the bottom of the combahee, nice little shade spot with a deep hole and a wasps nest. We stayed in the boat but the telephone got chunked from the suprize and pain. I know were two are at, haven't been used in years but amazing the results you can get from them. Older and wiser now, not worth it.

Stabbed a doormat in the head with a pocket knife in a tiny runoff creek, middle of the day. 22" fish in 8 - 10" of water.
