I am leaving for Antarctica at the end of September and I haven't been offshore at all this year...
I just want to get out to some blue water. I've yet to catch a king or dolphin. I was thinking about taking the Thunderstar out one day and was wondering if anyone else was interested in going. Sure would be nice to have a familiar face out there...
I know you mainly bottom fish on the 'Star, which is fine with me, but I want to try to hook up a dolphin or king.

I could be down to join you. I've been wanting to get out there for a while now. Haven't been on a head boat around here. Took one out in the keys and had a blast. Let me know when you want to go and we can see if it's a possiblity with work and all that.

sounds like we still have a group interested in the TS. I can go just about anytime, weekends would be easier, but I wonder if they are terribly crowded? I could get a weekday off in the next few weeks if it would pay off in less people (tourists) on the boat.
I'm going to give them a call this afternoon and get some questions I have answered.

OK, so it's $80 for the day trip, and they don't leave the dock with less than 30 people, so we would have to get a number of potential customers and call them to see what dates would work. Overnight trips are $160 and only go on Saturday-Sunday. I'm down for whichever.
Looks like 6 people have responded with a yes... I'll see what dates they have already and get back with ya. Apparently with school starting abck up she said the weekends weren't too crowded anymore, maybe just a sales pitch? Weekend would definitely work better for most.

Went out on TS a couple of weeks ago. Had pretty good luck. Was about midships and got into so many tangle wars I didn't catch as many fish as I could have. Best places on the boat would be either at the bow or stern
I had a great time. Wish I could go, but I have this job.......
