Whats is it supposed to mimmick? A shrimp w/ a mullet's tail?

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

These are "the deal". I stumbled onto this bait eight years ago, while guiding on the Chocktawhatchie Bay, in Florida. On my charters @ Edisto, every spinning rod has a Trout Trick tied on. We also throw some topwater. I feel the ribs producing a vibration, on the fall, is why this bait outfishes any other plastic I've ever fished with. Bob

Stonoman, will do. Cracker, I'm in the same boat with Peapod, that made me chortle also. Hookup, That might open up a floodgate. If you see me (fishingwithbob.com on truck and boat) stop me. Bonzo, To quote Peapod, "KNOW THAT". BOB

| Took some with me on our annual trip to Bimini. Caught a snook on one at the dock where we stayed before our trip across the stream. Got to Bimini and caught 2 bonefish and a small grouper on one while there. BSB love 'em on a 1/2 oz. jig..... |

When I "discovered" using this freshwater lure for trout, I had about twenty colors. Two of them worked in clear water, Pro Blue and Rainbow Trout. Problue also works in dingy water, which is why I have only the Problue run.
It was an incredible discovery. I had anchored on about a 1/2 acre of blowing up trout. This was while scouting on the Chocktawhatchie Bay in Fl when I was guiding down there. I made twenty casts with every conceivable lure, topwater, jerk baits, crankbaits, and all the plastics, flukes, tubes, etc, and all the colors of Trout Tricks my sponsor, at the time, had sent me with a world of other plastics. (I was still fishing the FLW and BASS tournament trails). I would get about 5 strikes per 20 casts on all the baits except the two afore mentioned colors of the TT. 30 strikes/20 casts. If they missed it or got off, another would grab it. It didn't take a rocket scientist to realize I had stumbled (nature sent me a miracle)onto something. Radlures' Chatterbait is another lure that has produced incredible results. If you don't know the story of Ron and his father inventing the lure, and Ron going all over the country promoting it, and it's meteoric sales, get him to tell you. It was so cool watching the coanglers in the back of the boat on televised tournaments, waxing their pros backside. That's a sick feeling, coming to the weighin with your amateur partner having a bigger bag. It happened all the time with Ron's lure. And sales went thru the roof. Well, this has turned into a book. Yes, Rick, this is the only color. Bob

Trout tricks have become my go-to lure, and I have caught plenty of redfish on them too. When I chartered with Bob my 8 and 11 yr old boys were reeling in trout left and right, and this was in August, not your typical "artificial" bait time of year. I am a believer.
They are fragile (very soft) lures, and tear easily, so its really worth it to get them in bulk, IMO.

Swampdonkey, Since you are intimating I don't know what I am talking about, would you like to make a small, or very large bet that you are wrong on both counts? Bob

Tony, MY Quote: When I "discovered" using this freshwater lure for trout, I had about twenty colors. Two of them worked in clear water, Pro Blue and Rainbow Trout. Problue also works in dingy water, which is why I have only the Problue run.
YOUR Quote: That is the old Gambler Top Water Stud and the color is ALEWIFE 5in
Tony, I am making a living chartering and selling these lures. My real estate brokerage www.southcaarolinalandonline.com and my farm certainly aren't making any money at the present.
I reread your comment and I still see why I took exception to it, however I appreciate your last post and I APPOLOGIZE FOR MY REACTION.
Wouldn't you still like to make a little wager? (Just kidding).

That lure looks real similar to a lure made in Louisiana called a Deadly Dudley. It was created by a guide down there and hammers the big trout.

Check out the Blue Moon color, its the original color and has caught hundreds of Sow Trout down there.
