While hardline environmentalist groups admit to all the unintended consequences of their championed 11th hour amendments to the 2006 reauthorization of this federal law, which didn't even get a debate in Congress, these special interest groups refuse to allow any hearing or debate on the law and how our rights, jobs, businesses, and fisheries are being severely harmed.

The two largest problems with the law are arbitrary, unscientific mandates and a very low standard for 'science' to make regulations from.

This is a perfect storm for fisheries disaster, and more funding cannot and will not make the problem go away. Rather, the problem will become worse!

Take a look at this excellent explanation of one of the biggest flaws in our Fisheries Conservation and Management Law, the inadequate 'science' the law allows forces managers to make decisions based upon.
