Clear Winter Waters
As we worked our way down the bank I pointed to an area of nervous water ahead of us and told my dad that it looked like fish. As we came closer I was keeping my eye on the area ahead of us and out of the corner of my eye right next to the boat I caught something moving.

The Final Word

As is typical with winter time, most of the fishing action is on the inshore side of things. The trout fishing is really going strong and it seems like as long as you can find the fish most types and colors of bait seem to be working well. I was on a trip last week and we had three different anglers throwing three distinctly different colors and all were catching fish. The redfish are schooling on the flats and are in full feeding mode and are hitting a variety of artificial and live baits. Sheepshead fishing is still going strong inshore with some really nice size fish being reported. Offshore the bottom fishing is really good with some really nice catches of black sea bass, grouper, snapper and trigger fish. The weather looks nice for this weekend and should allow for some really nice fishing.

Tight lines…
