Has anyone know if the water temperature is high enough in the harbor to catch pinfish now? Has anyone caught any recently? My kids 3 and 4 yrs love to catch them from the dock, but we haven’t seen any yet.
Mullet are here have not caught any Pins yet

My fishing buddy put out a pinfish trap mon pm and had over 100 next morn in the harbor ,large and small!
If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.

A pinfish trap is a scaled down version of a crab trap. BTW, galvanized/silver traps catch more fish than black ones.

yeah I saw that video, I was looking for a how to on how to build them haha, I caught my largest redfish on a pinfish …

will try and get a better photo, key is the slots that allow the pinfish in and nothing else.if it dosen’t have the shape of a bream it can’t get in. got it at Cudjo sales MM22 in the keys.

Are traps legal?
what is the bait of choice for pins? blue crab,dry or can dog food?
I haven’t had a great deal of success around Car. Har. Marina in past years. Great vidio.
