Whiting, Blues, and Shark in that order

About an hour before high tide in Whale Branch while watching the air show Saturday the kids started pulling in the Whiting, then the first Blue fish followed by 10 more, then the 8 sharks up until one hour after high tide… then nothing. All on frozen shrimp on the bottom roughly 8-12’. Made for a great day.

One shark was a spiny dogfish and I think the others may have been Finetooth…? small teeth and kind of a pot belly 36-46" all released. Except the Blues and whiting… I cleaned those for Dad.

Double win! Kids got to go fishing and your Pop is eating good. Thanks for the report Fred:smiley:

This was off a dock, and forgot about the crabs. So fun to watch the kids get excited putting them in the bucket. Caught a nice mess, all males.

Guess it’s a different stage in life for me, but I was just as happy cleaning fish and watching others catch em as catching them myself.

Definitely makes for a fun day!
