Marine stereos and speakers

Don’t need JL audio, but would like a good solid setup. New skiff with no stereo or speakers. Plan to put in 4 speakers, 2 in front boxes and 2 in console. Seen a lot of people recommend Fusion stereos, but I’ve never used them. There’s so many options and I’m sure plenty of them are fine, but would like to get some ■■■■■■■■ on what has or has NOT worked for you. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I have the Fusion black box stereo, JBL speakers, and JBL amp, an economical setup. This type setup made it ten years before I had to replace. Really like the black box concept as it allows you to put the base unit in a dry location and the remote faceplate is more waterproof.

I cant comment on the fusion stereo but I have the fusion 6.5s in my boat and they’re great. Check out Essenbay in Summerville theyve got a ton of JL 6.5s, $90 bucks a speaker.

Check out Essenbay marine and negotiate with cash.

I got my speakers open box style off EBay. Normally last years model or discontinued but I saved almost 75%.

Consider adding a speaker or 2 on the console somewhere. My speakers are in the bow and stern which is fine cruising or fishing. Downside is when running over 30mph I can’t hear it driving the boat well. Everyone else is happy though.[br"]
