Daughter and son-in-law

In the last 3 years my son in law has hit 4 deer and tolded 2 cars. Got him the little whistler’s to put on the car. Apparently they’re working hasn’t worked on in a while
Now my daughter is getting into the game. A couple weeks ago she hit a turkey. On the way back home within a mile of where she hit the first turkey. She whacked another one.
I’ve never seen a roadkill turkey before and never heard of anyone hitting a turkey other than her.
Insurance company not happy with them to say the least $$$$

I am fragile. Not like a flower. But like a bomb.

22 life’s a day

Dang, that’s just some bad luck. I’ll bet the insurance company is not a big fan.

"Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It's Hand", but really, who cares?

Dang otc. I’ve hit two last year and one this year but the ranch hand saved me. I’ve always wondered about the whistlers, Some say they work and others that they don’t. ?? One thing for sure, sc has a lot of deer, too many IMO.

Never hit a turkey, but dang if I haven’t seen more of em over the last couple of years. Good for those that like to hunt em.

Saw a video once of a full grown Tom embedded in a tractor trailer’s cab windshield. It was flying across an interstate highway.

I almost hit a Tom on highway 78 headed to St George one morning. Stupid bird flew off the roost and landed in the middle of my lane.

This one got ran over by a 16 gauge Iver Johnson single shot this very morning, and his “windshield” was also embedded with #6 shot

No tag?

No. I haven’t tagged one in a long time, didn’t think I needed to anymore.

Might want to remove that photo then.

I was on private property.

I like the way you think EF. To hell with all these tags required nowadays.

You still need tags to hunt Turkeys regardless.

I didn’t get any tags with my license.

You have to request tags every year now, $5 for a set of 3. You can’t legally hunt Turkeys without tags in your possession. Everyone regardless of age has to have Turkey Tags, no matter where you hunt.

Wow, thats a new one on me. No matter how old or where you hunt? I need to go read the regs again.

He was getting so close to the corn and I know you aren’t supposed to shoot them with bait in their beak, so I just went ahead and took him.

LOL!

You asked me about wheat, why did you use corn? That 5hit
is too easy to see!

Don’t forget about the electronic harvest reporting system.DNR has gone crazy!

Didn’t know you and EF were on personal terms, since that is the case… Here is the bait you need, $29 bucks at Benton’s. 50# black oil sunflower seed. Ready to plant. Who says how thick you have to plant them. I think the Turkeys, Dove, Deer, and Crows can smell them under the dirt, not to mention what seeds don’t get covered up. . Who needs the high dollar round up ready seeds at $250 - $350 a bag when this works so well. I don’t hunt turkeys, but I’m around them, they will take scattered sunflower seed over corn or wheat. It’s been a beautiful weekend so far.

I am always amused how a post can start out with a specific topicand by the 4th or 5th post is has taken a turn towards something totally different. Is there that much ADD in this country?

For the record, I have never met Polly. I have never talked to him in person. I have never sent nor received any type of personal correspondence whatsoever with Polly. Ever.

I have had short “barbs” of conversation with him on Kyles old site. He always does a drive-by type post, hit and run stuff mostly, and its tends to be laced with political insults and snooty farm-boy heybo schitt that does little for me.

In his defense my friend Capt Fritz has told me on more than one occasion that he’s a good dude in person, not like his internet persona. I can believe that.

I don’t have any idea why he said I’d asked him about turkey baiting, it does seems odd.
