Moving up near Limehouse Landing...

Hey y’all not a post about fish but a post asking about an area. ive always fished near folly and lower stono near folly and had great success, now im moving right next to the limehouse ramp and am curious about the area for reds, trout, and sheeps. Not asking for your specific spots but hows the fishing around the area of that ramp? and what fishing is most productive? God Bless!

The fishing isn’t much different than where you are used to fishing. By boat, you’re only like 15 minutes away. Stick to the known good thoughts like fishing structure, oysters, creek mouths, all that. Plenty of reds, trout, sheeps, and the occasional flounder. There’s probably more flounder around, but I’m not a great flounder fisherman.

Like most ramps around Charleston, its overcrowded on the weekends. They just did a resurfacing in May I think at Limehouse to fill in some bigger holes and did a halfway decent job. It’ll have holes again by the end of the summer, but still an improvement nonetheless.

There is a big sandbar just downstream of the ramp on the right that will be full of people and boats every weekend. There are no rivers close by bringing fresh water - so the red drum . black drum , and shrimp in the fall are plentiful. I caught a huge gator gar there once.
