A true tragedy OTC. I was in the 10th grade and I remember one of my teachers really getting involved with this.
I wonder if the survivors families ever got the 1.75 billion awarded to them? I remember in 2013 it was ruled to release the funds, but it didn’t happen and then in 2016 the supreme court ruled to release them. It is a shame that it took so long to get “compensation”. The money was held in a New York CitiBank account. I wonder who got the interest off the money? Probably did not go to the victims families.
