We headed straight out towards the ledge at 0500 from wapoo landing on my new 29ft Triton’s maiden Voyage. A slight chop on the way out but trim tabs saved us a ton of time and backache. Dropped lines at 170ft around a nice mat of weeds and had two dolphin on before we could get the third line out. Started trolling out and caught a few more up until 220ft. Didn?t do anything so we headed deep to about 700-800ft and did nothing there. Reading the posts before, that seems to be the trend. Headed back in and caught a few around 180-200ft. Had to come in a bit early but finished the day with 12 decent dolphin. 15-25 pounders. No Bulls but enough meat for a while. It was the Wife’s first dolphin and offshore trip so it was a very successful and enjoyable maiden trip. Lookin forward to next weekend already.
