Has anyone ever pre-made the bait balls and frozen them; or let them sit in the sun and dry up(I know they will stink more)? If so, how did that work out for you?
Trying to get some bait made up for last minute trips.
Be honest with you i had some in a 20lb ice bag just twisted up like a loaf of bread for a week one time. They were in the shade towards end of season so it wasnt super hot and we killed the shrimp with em. Maybe i outta try it again

I make up a small bucket full with layers of bait balls separated by wax paper and stick it in my deep freeze. Put them on ice when I go out and they are still hard. One less thing to do on the water. Once I accidentally left a few bait balls in my boat for a couple of days and they got dry, hard and moldy. By far the best pole of the night!
