Trump says he sought to avoid 'panic' over COVID-19, but fearmongering is central to his campaign
Dylan StablefordSenior Writer,Yahoo News•September 10, 2020
President Trump says he intentionally misled the public about the threat of the coronavirus, which has so far killed nearly 200,000 Americans, because he didn’t want to “create panic.”

“I don’t want people to be frightened,” Trump said at the White House on Wednesday, shortly after the release of audio excerpts from his interviews with Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward for his forthcoming book, “Rage.” On the tapes, Trump acknowledged privately to Woodward, as far back as February and March, that he knew how dangerous the coronavirus was but wanted to “play it down.”

“I don’t want to create panic,” Trump told reporters. “And certainly I’m not going to drive this country or the world into a frenzy.”

“I can’t be jumping up and down and scaring people,” he told Fox News host

Ok bend. , you say more qualified. Can you list the qualifications? Is it his excellent memory? Or his way with children? His love of little girls hair odor? Or his kindness to Tara Reade? Can you do this Without running down anyone else? Also can you define your favorite term. - “fear mongering “. Hasn’t the left told us all that we should fear Trump?
The fact is that Biden has been in DC for over 50 years with really no accomplishments
Also it was all Obama could do to keep him out of view and keep Biden’s mouth shut
Fox News judge Andrew Napolitano: "More likely than not” that Trump slurred slain American troops
,Salon•September 10, 2020

In an op-ed for Fox News published this Thursday, Judge Andrew Napolitano writes that he was appalled at the revelations inside a report from The Atlantic that said President Trump disparaged U.S. service members and war dead. At the same time, he wasn't surprised since he's been a friend of Trump's since 1987.

"To be Trump's friend does not immunize one from Trump's wrath," Napolitano writes. "On the contrary, he expects total loyalty, particularly from those in the media, and he will not hesitate to attack his friends publicly should he hear anything from them that displeases him."

Napolitano says that while he's loyal to his friends, he's first and foremost loyal to the truth. According to him, it "appears more likely than not" that Trump did indeed slander American military service members.

"I say this because — for better or worse — Donald Trump is unfiltered," writes Napolitano. "He often says what first comes to his mind without thinking of the likely consequences — including the hurt — his words could produce. And he believes he can repair any hurt with more words."

You have failed to list any qualifications or accomplishments that Biden has. All you can do is trash Trump. And push the fear button.

Isn’t it true that you and the whole Biden campaign have is the fear of Trump? Who is the fear monger?
Carl Bernstein says Bob Woodward's revelations about Trump are 'graver than in Watergate'
,The Week•September 9, 2020

Carl Bernstein has some strong words for what his former colleague's revelations mean for the Trump presidency and democracy itself.

On Wednesday The Washington Post published a preview of Bob Woodward's forthcoming book, Rage, in which Trump told Woodward in March that he knew COVID-19 was serious but "wanted to always play it down." Six months later, 190,000 people have died in the U.S. from the virus, and Woodward has just revealed that Trump's "homicidal negligence" is to blame, Bernstein told CNN.

Bernstein and Woodward famously reported out the Watergate scandal that led to former President Richard Nixon's resignation. But "the facts here are even graver than in Watergate," Bernstein continued, because this "dereliction of duty" has been recorded like never before. "Thousands and thousands and thousands of people died" because Trump is "putting his own re-election before the safety, health, and well-being of the people of the United States. We've never had a president who's done anything like this before," Bernstein said.

It's all going to go down as "one of the great presidential felonies of all time, maybe the greatest presidential felony, and we have the smoking gun tape of the president committing the felony,"
