Cooper River 10/20

It was nasty this morning, left around 9 AM to fish the incoming. Loaded up with mud minnows in 4 casts and took off to our first spot with a good plan for the morning. Then the wind found us. First spot was completely unfishable and we were probably a bit too far into the incoming for it to be effective even if the wind was manageable. Had to call an audible and find a spot hidden from the wind. Ended up with some good clean water and much less wind in Goose Creek that held some trout. Got 5 trout to the boat and 2 flounder. Biggest trout was right at 16". The trout were hitting the minnows under a cork and anything Z-man. The flounder were between 12-14", one hit a Z-man paddlerz and the other a Z-man jerk shadz.

Water temp was 73.5 pretty much all day. We weren’t expecting much for the day given all the rain on Saturday but it turned out to be a pretty good day. Would have liked to have gotten the slam but we gave it our best shot considering the conditions.

Most people audible the fishing all together on a nasty day. Y’all went and found some action.

Very good! Did you tag the flatty yourself or was it already tagged?
