Disappointing Sept Oct

First week of September . Massive schools of mullet started pouring out of the Little River jetties. Steady flow of Manhattan moving down the beach. Water temperature was still 81 degrees. With all that bait moving. Figured it was time to start chasing the big reds. Managed to catch a few around 35" nothing big. October the water cooled to the low-to-mid 70s. Everyone kept saying the water cools down they will show up. Not. Bait has really thinned out now. Just don’t look like the year for the big reds.

The back creeks & docks have been producing good numbers of black drum around 20". And lots of rat reds around 17"-20. Still catching a few flounder most of them are on the small side.

Looking forward to a good trout season this year. Last year caught big numbers of trout. Had 100 fish days. But there were all around 12"- 13 3/4".

I am fragile. Not like a flower. But like a bomb.
