Too soon, still good fishing left!

No but for real, once you get all that done and the trailer updates, the piece of mind pulling that thing is priceless!

…well, some fishing too!

Yea , I know its a little early , but the older i get the more of a creature of comfort i become so i decided to get it done early looking ( hopefully to get an earlier start in spring for craps and cats) !!! Ain’t gonna get in a hurry over the winter to get it done ; I want it right not quick , like you said for the peace of mind since i have to trailer almost 200 miles to my favorite grounds to wet a hook …Will try to post some pics on progress !!!

I use to be the king of a rusty old trailer. I’ve had three of them that I used for years on different boats over the years. A trailer rebuild is actually pretty easy. I had a tougher time getting all the parts then the rebuild. I had to go to Northern tool, seels, and Ace hardware because my trailer was old and the hubs, axle, springs and wheels were all sold at different stores because of sizing. I think mine was around $350 to rebuild everything. Someone back into it and busted a light a the landing though so now I got to redo that and I still want to extend the trailer some so I can back into some spots easier.

40 ; my trailer frame/axles/suspension is rock solid aluminum so no rust except for bunk brackets and wood/carpet… Gonna add side guide on bunks to help in loading. Also gonna add new brakes since old ones are shot and my cc weighs in right at 3000 lbs w/ motor , fuel , and gear; I like having a little extra stopping help…
Most of work on the ride is bells and whistles ; I’m going full bore on all lights being LEDs along with adding more lights for night jerking… Gonna try to post progress pics if I can figure how to on this new forum format…
