yesterday and today

i didn’t expect much in the cold wind yesterday, but a little after half tide rising i picked up a little redfish and then 5 solid trout from 15-19" on an Eye Strike trout head and opening night paddletail. at least that many short strikes too, but that’s to be expected swimming a 3/8oz bait at this temp.

this morning i grabbed some holiday bivalves and measured 49.1deg in the rat island narrows and 50.5 in lighthouse inlet at low tide. cooper river ports authority gauge shows it down to about 54… which is why i saw Simon at Haddrell’s yesterday for some pointers on the finesse game. will be playing with some slim swimz and light line next nice string of days. clear water right now, but it’s sure looking like tomorrow morning will be the last fishable time for a few days.

Thanks for the report!

There is also this afternoon to catch a few as well!
