Got a late start due to recovery of the weekend celebrations and knew Bushy would be taking a chance but wanted to jump start my New years weekend. Got to Remleys and the wind was raising H&$$ but met another angler whom was out for Sheephead fishing and gave me a few pointers. No I’m not a sheephead fishermen but after chatting with him I may need to re-think that process. He gave some good information. Pushed to a few areas and the wind was definitely in charge so I pushed to some sheltered area and caught a few Reds and had them swim for a short while in the livewell and then released. Just the feel of that tight line is enuff for me until it warms up and flounders start riding the shorelines. It was Chilly this morning!
