First of two February MSC Tournaments.
Midlands Striper Club held the first of two monthly tournaments on Lake Murray tournament out of Acapulco, SC on February 15, 2020. 40 teams participated in the event bringing a total of 51 striped bass to the scales weighing a total of 326.05 pounds with a 6.39-pound average. 24 teams were able to bring a full two fish creel to the scales.
Finishing in first place with a total weight of 25.79 pounds was Team Motley Crew captained by John Kennedy from Leesville, SC along with Brian “Scooter” White, also from Leesville, SC.
Team Motley Crew also won the Justin Christopher Big Fish award sponsored by the Nichols Store with a 16.46-pound striper.
Finishing in second place with a total weight of 18.18 pounds was Team Rocky Bottom captained by Townsend Wessinger from Newberry, SC, along with Justin Wright from Lexington, SC.
Finishing in third place with a total weight of 16.21 pounds was Team Reel Guys captained by Marshall West from Lexington, SC, along with Joby Wetzel from Chapin, SC.
Lady Angler Award went to Debbie Alewine from Team JonBoy.
Youth Angler Award(s) went to RJ Sineath from Team Stone Age.
Finishing in eleventh place with a total weight of 12.14 pounds was Team Stone Age.
Finishing in eighteenth place with a total weight of 10.67 pounds was Team Tijuana UFBC.
Smallest creel went to Team Reel Deal with a total weight of 4.29 pounds.
