Yamaha trim and tilt

All ya’ll;
I need to rebuild the trim and tilt cylinders on my F150 Yamaha. The best price I can find on the two tools I will need is $130. The seal kits for the trim and tilt is $140, for a grand total of $270. I don’t have a problem with the $140 for the seals, but I do hate to spend $130 for tools I will use one time.

Do any of ya’ll know of any place that maybe rents those spanner wrenches? I got a bid of $300 for a shop to do the whole job. Right now I will pay those folks the extra $30 to do all that work rather than spending the money on a one use set of tools. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Harbor freight. Spanner tool adjustable for angle die grinder. $5.99
That’s what I used for my hydraulic steering cylinder.

I am fragile. Not like a flower. But like a bomb.

Sending PM. I have the marine tech spanner wrench for the Yamaha 115. I believe it’s the same.

Pretty sure I have that if you want to borrow it.

Thanks everyone;
I will be talking to a shop over in Bluffton in the AM. They are reported to do great work for great prices. If that doesn’t work out, I will be contacting ya’ll about your tools.

We need to be thankful for all the really good folks on this forum!

Flywatt, PM sent.
