March Bite is Pretty Solid

Went out over the weekend twice and found fish biting each trip. Started out last couple hours of falling and found the trout stacked up in a current rip. Worked a Zman minnow in Redbone color on a trouteye jig and boated 10 trout in about 20 min. Kept 2 16" trout and the rest were released. Bite shut off like a switch so I Switched to bait (MM’s, crab and cut mullet) and started to target reds. Landed 2 over slot reds, a 16" and a 22 & 7/8" red and then called it a day. Fish tacos for dinner!!! Day 2 - got a late start and hit the water around slack tide. Bite didn’t start until the water started moving. Doubled up with two 24" reds and was able to land, tag and release both healthy. Landed 2 other 24" reds and lost what were likely 3 others. Managed 2 keeper reds to give to the in-laws. Crab, mullet and MM’s all produced on day 2.
