The State Department announced on Feb. 7 that it had “facilitated the transportation of nearly 17.8 tons of donated medical supplies to the Chinese people, including masks, gowns, gauze, respirators, and other vital materials.”
The move came more than two weeks after the first U.S. coronavirus case was detected in Washington state on Jan. 21. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo tweeted Feb. 7 that the delivery would “help save lives” in China, which had reported more than 31,000 cases by then.
Pompeo touted the assistance again in remarks to reporters on March 31, saying it was an example of American generosity and part of an effort to keep the virus contained to China.

The liberal cry before was that there were not enough supplies and that somehow this was Trumps fault. But today we find that there is an excess to the point that we can help other countries control the disease spread which ultimately helps to protect us.

I’ll bet we would have never done this if China wouldn’t have lied to us and told is the truth about how contagious and deadly this thing is. We are a remarkably generous nation to do the things we do.

c/p- The United States has seen five cases of the virus, but all are in patients who had traveled to China. The virus has not spread from those travelers to anyone else in the United States so far.

Unfortunately, our first truck shipment scheduled for delivery 4/7, has been delayed due to the Federal Gov’t
stepping in, and redirecting 50,000+ gallons to the healthcare workers throughout the US.
