Looking to hit some nearshore reefs like the 60 and capers. Never been and looking for a boat buddy for the first time out. Anyone interested in the near future?

Probably not if it will hold your boat in strong current and chop. Just trying to help.

I appreciate the info, you were right about the wind and chop. Trolling motor won’t hold. I will definitely invest in a reef anchor for sure!

Pretty easy to make them yourself. Short piece of pipe and some rebar. Less than $10
Only tool you need is a hacksaw.
