Fishing Report 05/21/20

Had a trip and went out to fish the last couple hours of falling and first couple of incoming. The tide was a small swing, roughly 4.5 feet of water movement, so I went to an area that I know has reds on the falling. Used mud minnows with popping corks, 30" of 25# leader, and a 2/O circle hook in 3’ or less of water. A definitive current break could be seen and I had my clients casting and letting the corks drift right along the break. Corks were dropping left and right. Landed around 25 reds, biggest being right under 26". Missed at least another 15+ due to “setting the hook” and pulling it away from the fish. Also got the flounder and trout to round out the slam. Didn’t move position for the entire trip. Left the fish biting and all fish were caught and released. Good luck and tight lines!!!
