Where to buy SS prop

Is a stainless prop size one for one or do you need to size down? What I have now seems to perform just fine.

Yes. Size for Size the same just material difference. The biggest drawback in aluminum props in 40hp+ is that they will flex and loose some pitch where a stainless won’t. Depending on your boat and horse power, you could see 2-4mph increase.

Went to Skips. Mike and his wife are great. After discussion with Mike, decision was made to go down to a 16 prop. Gained 4-5 mph, hole shot may be a little slower though. bow rides just bit higher which helps riding through the chop. He said if the prop didn’t work out after 1-2 uses, that I could bring it back so long as there were no dings what so ever and that the box was still in the same condition. You can’t beat that service. $354 after taxes. 5 stars!

Skips is tough to beat. The “exchange” program Mike does is unbeatable. You’ll find the right one now in no time.

…well, some fishing too!

Odd, dropping pitch should have improved your “hole shot”.
