Corks vs: finesse

Got out with my son in law last Monday. I got two dozen minnows at Sewee Outpost to use under popping corks. I really don’t like throwing corks so I threw artificials the whole day.

Neil, with his popping cork, caught nine fish to my five.

Also, at the DNR boat dock on Bull Island, we had a six foot gator slide out of the reeds to check out the popping cork. A first for me.

Nice video. Looks like y’all had a great trip other than the pesky gator.

It was a fun day. He also hooked a shark on the popping cork and immediately lost the whole rig only to see it bob to the surface about a hundred yards away.
Kinda like “jaws” when the barrel bobs back up.

We retrieved it and all was intact including the minnow on the hook.
