I was supposed to meet the guys at daylight to get on a top water bite… but I didn’t set my alarm and woke up at daylight. I had the boat hooked up and was only 15 minutes away but had a blowout halfway there.

Anyway, I think we were fishing by 7:30 or so.

We caught a good many fish. Got the slam.

We had a good trout bite later in the day once we moved to a flat that had a deep hole. I think we were sitting in 20-24’ of water casting to a flat and it was almost every cast.

It is crazy what kind of damage a strip of tire can do as it repeatedly slaps the fender.

At least you got there safe & had a great day on the water.

It looks like the oversleeping was a good thing.At least you weren’t stumbling around in the dark trying to change the tire.
