Windy and Kool

Fished this weekend and it was rough. Barely could feel the strikes so I ran into Flag Creek on Saturday to get out the wind and caught a few Black drums. When the wind is high like it was I usually carry some shrimp left over from whiting fishing.
Sunday I should’ve brought a heater. Pushed to Goose Creek in rough white capping waters but managed a couple nice reds on gulp shrimp with chartreuse tail and lost what I felt was a nice flounder. Wind so high didn’t quite feel that mystery strike. After dragging it a bit I realized I may’ve made that mistake of not waiting when the line went slack. What a Windy weekend!

I’m giving it a go today. I looked at the wind at both price Inlet and wharf creek. Price is 13 mph and wharf is 21 mph. They aren’t two miles apart as the crow flies. Don’t know how that’s possible.

Sounds like you did alright for the conditions.

You’re a better man than me:sunglasses:… I wasn’t even trying that wind this past weekend…tough guy!:slightly_smiling_face:

Well done in the wind tunnel though, well done indeed!:+1:
