Daughter's 4th & 5th Hunts...

Tibwin Plantation Youth Hunt this Friday & Saturday afternoons. Daughter shot a Doe Friday afternoon that turned out to be a 98 pound Buck. He was not a Button Buck, and had no visible antler at all. DNR guys felt his head where his antlers should grow, and said he had a antler plate, but no antler growth. aged him at 1.5 years old.

She also dry fired on another Deer, a Doe, after she short stroked her bolt failing to load another round, after shooting the first one. Her gun went " SNAP " and no BOOM! Doe tore out of the plot. Daughter was like, " What The Heck ? " I told her she wasn’t the only one to ever do that before.

Saturday afternoon hunt we saw a yearling, and nothing else.

I’m glad she did not learn that lesson on a nice buck.

Exactly what she said.

You can bet she will make sure her rounds load from now on…

Boy She is growing up to be a lovely young lady that knows how to shoot a gun. What more can one ask:smiley:
