Skipped out of work early and fished the Cooper Friday afternoon starting about mid-tide for the outgoing cycle. Got an over slot red to the boat but broke him off trying to get it over the rail...should've used the net. He hit an artificial shrimp under a cork. Had a nice 15" hit a Z-man Paddlerz rigged weedless. Sight casted to a small school of decent sized reds feeding in the shallows but couldn't get one to eat my plastics.
Seems like the bait has thinned out compared to last weekend. Water temperate was about 75. Nice solo day on the water.
