RANGE

MY RIDE IS A 18 FT KEY LARGO CC WITH A 90 HP 4 BANGER YAMI … I USUALLY CRUISE AT APPROX 5000 RPM WITH A SPEED OF ABOUT 27-30 MPH… GIVEN THAT THESE STATS ARE APPROX AND MY FUEL LOAD IS 35 GALS , WHAT SHOULD BE THE BALL PARK RANGE UNDER GOOD SEA CONDITIONS AND CURRENT GENERALLY SPEAKING???

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.

Key West site should have a Yamaha bulletin for fuel burn on your boat.

My KW 19 with Yamaha F115 burned approximately 3 Gal/hour overall.

I thought the gauge was inoperative.

Sorry, read subject as KW not Key Largo.

Try the Yamaha site and look for your boat and motor.

I’ve always figured 3-4 mpg with that size engine/boat.

That’ll give you a total range of 105-140 miles using all 35 gallons.

But figuring you want to be back at the hill with at least 1/4 tank of gas, your total range on a good day might be only 75-100 miles. If it’s rough or you’re in current it might be less.
